How To Make Easter Peeps Centerpiece
Let’s start with how to make this cute mason jar filled with Peeps, then we will talk about what to put in it for your Easter celebrations. I love a quick and easy craft, and this is definitely one of those. You can pull this one together in probably 10 minutes total!
Supplies Needed To Make Easter Peeps Centerpiece
- Wide-mouth quart mason jar (I love these smooth sided ones from Ball)
- Orange buttons (I like mixed collections like this)
- Bunny-shaped Peeps
- Scrapbook paper
- Easter tag
- Baker’s twine
- Small glass jar (see below for options)
- Tape
Step 1: Add Buttons To Jar
Add buttons to the bottom of your jar.
Step 2: Add Peeps To Jar
Layer on the bunny Peeps facing out.
Step 3: Insert Small Jar (Optional)
If you are going to add fresh flowers to your jar, insert a smaller jar inside your Peeps to add water.
Step 4: Add Scrapbook Paper To Jar
Cover the rest of the inside of the jar with a piece of scrapbook paper cut to size. Tape it into place.
Step 5: Tie Tag Onto Jar
Tie a cute tag onto the jar with baker’s twine to finish the entire thing.
What To Add To The Inside Of Your Easter Peeps Centerpiece
Now that your Peeps mason jar is complete, what will you put inside? You have a few options, but my favorites are flowers and dessert!
Adding Flowers
If you put a smaller jar inside the mason jar, you can add a bit of water and place some live flowers in it. Fake flowers will also work, and you won’t need the water.
Adding Chocolate-Covered Peeps
Make dessert part of your Easter centerpiece by adding some cute chocolate-covered Peeps! To do that, you would do the following:
Step 1: Add Peeps To Skewers
Add your Peeps to some wooden skewers.
Step 2: Dip Peeps Into Melted Chocolate
Melt some chocolate or some candy melts, and dip in each Peep or spoon the chocolate over to coat.
Step 3: Let Chocolate Peeps Harden
Place each one on parchment paper or aluminum foil to harden.
Once they have hardened, add them directly to your Peeps mason jar. The buttons at the bottom will help hold them in place. Remember I said that I don’t like Peeps? I make a special exception for the chocolate-covered variety!
You can add as many or as few of these as you would like. This would also make a great edible gift if you want to give someone something special for the holiday.

Can I Adjust The Size Of The Mason Jar?
Absolutely! If you adjust the mason jar size, you may need more or fewer Peeps and buttons.
I Don’t Have A Ton Of Buttons. Can I Use Something Else Instead?
If you don’t have a ton of buttons, you can use another layer of Peeps (you can stack them on top of each other), Easter grass, or a layer of jelly beans instead.
