Grab these free printable vintage labels for your jars! This is a quick and easy project to make any jar or bottle look old in minutes! If you’re looking for instant farmhouse style, this project is for you! Grab some kraft paper labels to make your own vintage look-a-like labels in minutes.
I love the look of vintage bottles and distressed labels! They can be used for so many different kinds of projects, like adding a spooky element to Halloween labels, apothecary jars, and even pantry organization.
I have the printable vintage labels for you below and you can use some ink to distress the edges. Follow along with the instructions below to make your own vintage labels.
How to make your own vintage labels
Supplies needed to make your own vintage labels:
- Brown Kraft 4 x 5 inch label
- Brown Kraft 2 1/2 inch round label
- Kraft Paper 3.375 by 2.3125 inch label
- My printable label art (links are given below)
- Old bottles and containers
- Distress Ink Pad or other brown colored ink
- Computer and printer
First, grab the printable files below and print them onto your labels. There is one file for each size of label. The graphics are all from the amazing Graphics Fairy.
- OL475BK Brown Kraft Printable File (4 x 5 inch label)
- Brown Kraft OL350BK Printable File ( 2 1/2 inch round label)
- Brown Kraft OL5030BK Printable File ( 3.375 by 2.3125 inch label)
Let’s make them even more vintage and worn with a little distress ink.
To do this, I cut around the label so I could distress the edges. You don’t have to cut into the label, just around the outside. Don’t worry, they do not have to be perfect, especially since we’re distressing them so that the labels will look old and worn.
How to distress printable vintage labels
Once you have the vintage labels cut out, just rub the label edges onto your ink pad.
Set the distressed vintage labels aside to dry and start on your next one.
Want an even more distressed look? Try tearing away the sides of your label before you distress them.
After your ink dries, it is just a matter of peeling and sticking to your jars and bottles.
What do you think? Could I fool the standard observer into thinking these are truly vintage bottles? I think so!
I tried to pick a favorite but I really can’t. Maybe the large one with the dogs that is so colorful? They all make my vintage-loving heart go pitter-patter.
Grab your labels from Online Labels then print these images from the Graphics Fairy. Use these around in your home as farmhouse decor and no one will be the wiser. What a fun addition to any vintage decor. These printable vintage labels are sure to make your heart pitter-patter as well.
This post is sponsored by Online Labels however all projects and opinions are my own.

I love this idea, how fun.
Just love this tutorial!!! Can.t wait to try it myself!
Super idea and thanks for sharing it with us 🙂
This is the project I have been saving all these old bottles for!! I have a huge box of them because I knew the right project would come along. How cute!! Visiting from The Graphics Fairy. If you have time, I would love if you could link up at Redouxinteriors. I would love to share this with my readers. Thanks!
Hi, I think these are brilliant, I hit the fleamarket regularly, there are tons of bottles waiting to be reborn. Question through-your paper is aged looking as well, how did you get that effect?
The labels from Online Labels are already brown kraft paper. I really think that is the secret in this case!
I love vintage things. This might be cheaper than actually buying an old jar. Thank you, it’s such a creative idea.
Love it! I pinned and stumbled it 🙂
Oh wow – THIS is what I’ve been needing for my bottles! Thanks for sharing! And yes, you could definitely fool people into those being vintage bottles! 🙂
Love these! Can you tell me though, how do they stand up to washing? I’d love to do my canisters but they do need to be washed periodically. Thanks!
I would NOT wash these particular labels as the tutorial is written. You might put some outdoor Mod Podge or something over they top and HAND wash only.
You could cover with clear packing tape, and hand wash carefully. I do it with my labeled jars all the time.
Thanks for sharing, you did a fabulous job of antiquing girl!
Thanks for sharing this!!!! I am so excited to try it and post about it!!! Thanks for your inspiration!!!

Thank you so much. Lovely idea, Anneke
ooooh Angie, love these so much, thank you a huge bunch for sharing. Will be digging in recyclable glass bin for different jar shapes. For first use will make display on top of kitchen cabinets for something new. Have had same items up there for ever. Things get so dirty in our house from wind and traffic on our driveway/road, UGH, even with windows closed.
Have had chicken stuff mostly but some with food tins I collected, need to find some more. Haven’t noticed any for while but haven’t been looking, usually found good tins at Goodwill, on senior discount day of course.
Love how antiquey your bottles look, awesome. Printed page or 2 of each in both white printer paper and kraft. Will be sure to put Mod Podge on labels, thx for tip.
Trying to freshen up the joint some with inexpensive art so these labels are perfect. Overhaul art on l/r walls also. Hung white wicker mirror found at Goodwill with wonderful wicker table, both for $20. Boy did I grab those, usually their furniture is much more expensive. Using table or nightstand as end table in l/r, goes with cottage look so nicely. Both in great shape, what a lucky find.
Was just thinking, framing each page of labels would be incredible art, what fun. See what you inspired?
Have wonderful weekend
I love the idea of framing them! That would look great!
Thank you for the free book, I will love forward to doing some of the crafts 😃
Hi there! I’m interested in ordering some labels for my glass bottles that I clean with. Can I order customized labels? If so, how can I go about doing this?
You might try searching on Etsy Courtney. There definitely might be someone there that would customize a file for you!
Can I still print the lables for free? They are beautiful!
Yes! You should find them here:

Thank you
Love the labels and tutorial! Thank you, vicki
Thank you so much! I’m glad you found them helpful 🙂
WHERE are the links to the labels???? Down below??? PLEASE SPECIFY.
THANK YOU
The links are in the post right below where it says “grab the printable files below” and each one is named by the size of the label. You don’t have to download anything, they open right when you click on them so they can be printed. I hope that helps.
These would be GREAT if you could fill out what was in the bottles! So instead of ‘Bay Rum’ you could put Hand Lotion, etc. Making them more usable. If I have a shelf of these, I will either have to put another label over the top, write on the label or guess at the REAL ingredients!
Thanks for the suggestion 🙂
