Is your special day just right around the corner? I know- things can be so hectic and sometimes, making the thank you favors can fall to the bottom of the list. But, no worries!
I have a quick and easy DIY fix for that- Mason Jar Wedding Favors.
Wedding favors in jars can be a great addition to your wedding. They’re simple, easy to make, and relatively inexpensive. We are kicking off mason jar wedding week with some favors that will work perfectly at your wedding reception.
How To Make Mason Jar Gift Favors For Every Kind Of Wedding
Small mason jars are a budget-friendly way to give out wedding favors to all of your guests. Not only will this idea save you a lot of money, but they look so Pinterest-perfect!
These wedding favors fit perfectly in a wedding that has farmhouse-style decor or rustic chic. Plus, I’m giving you a free printable file for the ‘Thank You’ labels that go on top!
Supplies Needed To Make Your Own Wedding Favors In Jars:
- Printable file for the thank you labels
- OL2088 labels in the color of your choice (we used pastel green)
- Small plastic jars (great because they will not break!)
- Favor of your choice (we used chocolate covered pretzels)
- Printer
Tips For Making DIY Wedding Favors
When you make these wedding favors, do it as a group with your friends or family. Split up the tasks assembly-line style. One person can apply the labels and the other can fill the jars with the snacks!
You can also print the labels on your home printer easily. Be sure to purchase plenty of the labels because these will be perfect for thank you cards and more! You will use several sheets I am sure.
My other tip is to use plastic jars instead of glass ones!
I love these mini plastic jars for wedding favors. You will not have to worry about anyone breaking the jars but you can still get that great mason jar look.
Filling Ideas For Mason Jar Wedding Favor
What will you fill your jars with? I used white pretzels because mint and white were the wedding colors I was working with.
Here are some more ideas to put inside your jars:
- Mints
- Chocolates
- Almonds
- Dried Fruit
- Chocolate-Covered Sunflower Seeds
How To Set Out These DIY Wedding Favors
After it was all said and done, it was time to start giving out the favors!
Set these out at your wedding reception and let the guests pick up their own fun little gift in a jar.

Mason jars are still hugely popular because of their simplicity, ease of use and so many fun things you can fill them with. I’ve repined the pic with the copper jars, as copper is the up and coming metallic color so many brides are looking for. Can’t wait for the tutorial to explain how to make the copper centerpieces – they look like mercury glass, so pretty!
What a cute Idea. Those are perfect.
These are so cute! I could see myself doing this for a bridal or baby shower too! Thanks for sharing on the Small Victories Sunday Linkup!
