Orange Spice Sweet Tea Recipe
(makes 2 quarts of tea)
- Lipton iced tea (I used the Lipton 24ct Regular (Caff) Iced Black Tea – Family Sized tea bags)
- 2/3 cups sugar
- 1 orange (additional for garnish if desired)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- water
Start by peeling your orange. We will use the actual orange in the recipe in a few minutes. Add the orange peel and cinnamon stick to a stock pot. Add 4 cups of water and bring to a boil.
Pour the boiling water over 2 family sized tea bags in a heat proof pitcher. Brew 3 – 5 minutes. Remove tea bags, orange peel, and cinnamon stick. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Add juice from orange. Stir in 6 cups of ice cubes until melted. Keep your orange spice sweet tea refrigerated. Serve over ice with additional orange slices if desired.

This somehow sounds refreshing and comforting all at the same time. There is something about a big pitcher of tea that puts a smile on my face, especially living in the south. Thanks for sharing! This is one for the recipe stash 🙂
I’m not a huge fan of tea, but this sounds amazing!
