This EOS lip balm Valentine’s Day card is perfect for kids and adults alike. Plus I love a good punny Valentine and “I wheelie like you” is a good one right?
Print out the bicycle Valentine below then follow our super-simple instructions for adding on the EOS lip balm wheels. You will be giving this one to your Valentine in seconds.
How to Make Lip Balm Valentine’s Day Cards
Supplies needed
- Wheelie Valentine’s Day Card – free printable!
- Card stock
- Color Printer
- Cricut Machine (optional, any Cricut except for the original Cricut Joy) or Scissors
- Craft Knife (if not using a Cricut)
- 2 round EOS lip balms for each Valentine
You can watch below as I make this fun Valentine in a super short video. (I’ve since added the instructions below so you can use your Cricut machine to make these.)
Quick and easy right? If you missed any of it just follow these simple instructions:
Lip Balm Valentine’s – No Cricut needed
If making these by hand, start by printing our free printable Valentine’s Day card. They will print two to a sheet of paper. I recommend heavy-weight card stock for printing your cards.
Cut out the cards with scissors. Using a craft knife, trim the inside of the wheels. Be sure to cut on a cutting mat or old magazine to avoid marking furniture. Then, add your lip balm into the wheel holes. Easy, right?
Making Lip Balm Valentine’s with a Cricut
If you have a Cricut, you have the option to make these using Print Then Cut. The steps are pretty easy, and you’ll be able to make multiple cards after creating this easy Valentine card in Cricut Design Space.
Step 1 – Save and upload printable into Cricut Design Space
Start by saving the printable card (linked above) to your computer. Then open Cricut Design Space to a blank canvas and click upload.
The image will upload with a white background, and you can use the background remover to get rid of it. Click on the Manual option and select the white around the cards.
Click Apply and Continue, then choose to upload the file as a Flat Graphic. This will make the file a Print Then Cut image.
Step 2 – Edit image on the canvas
After uploading the cards, add the image to your canvas.
As uploaded, the file will be too large for a Print Then Cut. You can auto-resize the image or manually change it so it fits onto an 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of cardstock. I have a post (with free templates) about Print then Cut sizes that you may find useful.
Step 3 – Add circle cutouts
The lip balms that I had measure about 1.6″ in diameter. I added a circle to the canvas and changed the size to fit the lip balm. Then I duplicated it so I had four circles total.
Place a circle over the wheel, select both the circle and the card, then click “slice”. Delete the sliced pieces, then repeat for all of the wheels.
Once you have all of your slices complete. It’s time to click Make.
Step 4 – Send to Print then Cut
There are two steps to Print then Cut. When you click Make, you’ll see your project on the mat. Make sure everything fits, and then click Continue.
As prompted, send the cardstock through your printer. Then place the printed sheet onto your cutting mat and run it through your Cricut. Pro Tip: Make sure you load your printed image the same direction as pictured – otherwise you risk cutting your pieces incorrectly.
Step 5 – Put your Lip Balm Valentine’s together
How easy was that? Unwrap the EOS lip balms and add to the bicycle wheels on the card and give to your Valentine!
This EOS lip balm Valentine’s Day card is a fun way to show your Valentine that you “wheelie” like them! Make your own today for your sweetheart!
