This would be adorable paired with a DIY haunted house or as a porch decoration for your Halloween candy bucket. If you don’t have any sticks or leaves around, grab a few from the craft store and get started!
How to Make Halloween Décor with Sticks and Leaves
Supplies needed for Halloween décor with sticks and leaves:
- Sticks and leaves from your yard or artificial ones from a craft store
- Spray paint in any color (I used black and gold)
Pick up sticks around your yard. I choose some that still had leaves on them, as I wanted a spooky effect.
Next, grab your spray paint. You will not need much, but we really want to add some fright to this Halloween display.
Spray paint the sticks and leaves with black spray paint. Then just add a few touches of gold spray paint. This will give your branches a spooky effect with just a touch of glam.
TIP: Hang the branches from a wire with some clothespins outdoors to easily spray the entire thing at once.
I wanted to continue to use items from my yard for this display, so I also picked up a few pine cones. Be sure to bake them to get rid of any bugs. Then just hit them with some gorgeous gold spray paint. These work well in this Halloween display, but I will be leaving these for Christmas and winter as well.
Can you believe that these spooky touches were basically free and only took me a few minutes to make? If you don’t have spray paint, pick up two cans (black and gold) at your local dollar store. You will have $2 invested and be ready for Halloween in 15 minutes or less! Then add these painted sticks and leaves to your Halloween decor inside or outside your home. Give those trick-or-treaters something to look at!
