Cinnamon Applesauce Ornament Kit in a Jar is a great way to give the gift of handmade ornaments. This jar has everything you need to make cinnamon applesauce ornaments! Give this as a gift to anyone with kids for a fun holiday activity! Perfect to give for Christmas!
This post is a part of the Crafty Hangouts series this month and is sponsored by Online Labels. All projects and opinions are as always my own.
This is one of my favorite gifts in a mason jar ever! I saved it for the very end of my gifts in a jar series. This cinnamon applesauce ornament kit can be given to anyone with kids. They will love making these keepsake ornaments together all with this fun kit in a jar. If you have missed any of the mason jar gifts series, just click here to see those mason jar crafts and more.
This gift is perfect for those who love to craft and use handmade items for holiday decorations. This is a simple craft that uses only a few ingredients and makes the cutest ornaments. The dough is made from cinnamon, applesauce, and tacky glue. Then, you cut out your desired shapes with cookie cutters and bake in the oven to “set” everything up. It’s so easy!
I also took a picture below of some of the ornaments that we have made in years past. You can see that they hold up well for a long time!
How to Make a Cinnamon Applesauce Ornament Kit in a Jar
Supplies to make this gift in a jar:
- Wide mouth quart size mason jar and lid (I prefer ones with a side that has no writing for this)
- OL5100 Shipping Labels in white matte
- OL375 Round Labels in white matte
- Printable recipe and directions file (click here to access)
- Printable jar topper (click here to access) (this is optional as I show you two ways to do this in the video below)
- Pouch applesauce
- Large container of cinnamon
- Small bottle of glue
- Straw (cut in half)
- Spool of ribbon
- Cookie cutters
Instructions
Now watch the video below as I show you how to assemble this fun cinnamon applesauce ornament kit in a jar.
This craft is super easy. All you need to do is stuff the jar!
First, print out the recipe and instructions for the ornaments, and adhere to the side of the jar. Now, you are ready to fill the jar.
To start, portion out the cinnamon into zip-top bags. One large container of cinnamon will make two of these jars. Drop the zip top bag inside of the jar. Then, add the applesauce pouch, glue, and straw to the jar. You may have to do some arranging to get everything to fit.
Next, add the label to the lid of the mason jar and seal it up with the ring. To add a little embellishment, tie ribbon around the neck of the jar and loop in the cookie cutters.
And here is the stamped label topper I made during the video. You can use the printable version if you like. I personally like them both!
This great gift in a jar will be a fun surprise for all of your friends that have little ones. This is a gift and a fun holiday activity all in one little mason jar. Y’all enjoy!
