I have a great wedding guest book idea for you today. I thought it would be fun to include some pictures of the bride and groom through the years next to the guest book. I went through tons of ideas on how to do that and settled on something that can be a gift after the wedding as well as decor during the wedding. I love things that won’t be thrown away after the wedding is over! This post is sponsored by Mixbook however all projects and opinions are my own.
The canvas is from Mixbook and is perfect for this wedding guest book idea. I took several pictures of the couple through the years and added them to a photo collage. I then turned the entire thing black and white to go with the wedding decor.
The edges of the canvas are generally wrapped with your image. I wanted a plain edge however. I used my photo editing program to add an edge onto the original file. The Mixbook website gave me a preview of what the canvas would look like so I could determine how large the edge needed to be. I was so happy when the finished product was exactly the same as the preview. The dark gray edge I added worked perfectly!
For the guest book table, I will be adding the canvas to a large picture easel.
I will also be using a light up marquee letter with the initial of the couple’s new last name. I think decorating for the wedding with items that can be used later in the couple’s home is the best! No one wants to purchase things that will only be used once! That is why I am in love with the canvas idea for displaying pictures at the wedding. It is so much better than printing pictures and hanging them up. The couple can enjoy this canvas for many years to come.
The wedding is in a barn and has a rustic feel so the guest book reflects that. We are using this burlap guest book and matching pen.
This wedding guest book idea will work perfectly for any wedding that you are planning. Not planning a wedding? Go ahead and order your Mixbook canvas anyway! You will love the quality of the canvas and it can be something you can treasure in your home for years. I personally am a fan of the finished back on these. I knew immediately it was a quality piece of art that I could be proud to give to the happy couple. Upload your art onto a canvas and use for a wedding guest book or to hang anywhere in your home.
Excellent presentation Angie and how great for their kids to see when they want to. Kids are curious about their parents before they were born. No reason being practical can’t be part of their wedding, good lesson for kids too and young newlyweds. Throwaway mentality is reason so many people get themselves into money troubles.
I was raised by Depression era parents and raised all of my (4) kids same way. Only one didn’t take on was oldest daughter who lives in southern CA. We lived there for 21 yrs. so are familiar with how people live.
You are making so many fantastic things for your daughters wedding, how lucky she is. Can hardly wait to hear about wedding and see photos.
Pinning this to our Burlap and Lace Board! Such as great way to present the guest book table.
Wonderful idea! I agree using items that the couple can then display in their homes is a great tip. Thank you for sharing at Merry Monday!
