FAQs About Fall Simmer Pot Recipe
Here are some common questions that readers often ask about making this fall simmer pot recipe. If you have a question, please check to see if I’ve already answered it below. If you don’t see your question, feel free to leave it for me in the comments!
How Long Do You Boil A Simmer Pot?
This is up to you. Generally, it takes 2-3 hours to smell a strong aroma from your chosen Fall simmer pot recipe. However, you can keep the simmer pot going for longer.
What Do I Do To Keep The Simmer Pot Boiling Longer?
If you want your simmer pot to continue boiling for a longer period, simply add more water. However, be sure to keep an eye on your ingredients to prevent them from burning in the pot.
How Long Does It Last?
It is difficult to determine an exact timeframe as it depends on the ingredients used and the length of time the pot is simmered. Generally, it is suggested to simmer for at least two days, as fruits like apples and oranges tend to break down after this time.
Can I Turn This Into A Gift?
Yes! This would make a great gift during the Fall season, especially if someone is having a housewarming party. To turn this into a gift, you could put all the ingredients into a large mason jar, write out (or print out) the recipe, and then tie it around the lid of the jar.
That said, when giving the ingredients, don’t cut up the orange, apple, or lemon. Instead, just give the whole fruit so your recipient can cut it up when they are ready. Also, if you wanted to, you could leave out some ingredients like the nutmeg and vanilla extract and have your recipient provide those ingredients themselves.

I have to admit I’ve never tried this but I think your post will prompt me to do it! I love scented candles burning even in the summer (when the house is closed up with the AC running!) Thanks for sharing the recipes!
I’m sure these are all wonderful, but the fall spiced scent will be the one I try first! We so ready for fall fun at my house!
One of my memories growing up was when my mom would put something on the stove top to make the house smell awesome before guests arrived. Will have to try this for myself. Visiting from Whims Wednesday party.
Angie,
I’m visiting from Inspire Me Monday. I like making a simmering pot at Christmas with some of these same ingredients. I thank you for pulling together these different combinations. I certainly will try some of these aromatic delights this fall! Feel free to hit the dance floor with me & the Monday’s Music Moves Me gals!
I like these too, I have one of those little mug warmers and I take a large mug and put some yummy smelling things in it in the morning and set it on the counter. It’s small but works good for apartments and doesn’t take up stove space that way. 🙂
