Canning Lid Snowman Ornament

I have a special canning lid snowman ornament for you today plus tons of crafty ornament inspiration from some friends of mine. Lets get crafty first and I will show you how to make this fun snowman ornament. 

Canning Lid Snowman Ornament Supplies:

• Sculpey PREMO Clay in Red and Orange
• Buttons in black and white
• Canning lid
• White card stock
• Decoupage
• White glitter
• Ribbon
• Hot glue

Form a carrot like shape with your Sculpey clay. I added a few lines for interest on the sides as well.

Roll out the red clay until thin and cut a “hat” like shape the size of your canning lid.

Flip over the hat as shown below.

Lift the flap and add some texture across the bottom. I used a wheel from the Sculpey Essential Tool Kit. Flip your flap back over and bake both clay pieces for the recommended amount of time on the package.

Add all of your embellishments to your canning lid using hot glue. Add a ribbon to the back for hanging and your canning lid snowman ornament is ready for your tree.
