Supplies needed:

- Paper straws
- Free printable alphabet banner
- Cricut machine
- Toothpicks
- Twine
- Printer

Cutting Your Pieces
Basically just cut a large number of green circles and ducks from scrapbook paper. You can use the Cricut Design Space to here to make it a bit easier – I used #M50560EB5 for the duck and then used both a circle and a scalloped circle. Just size the design to fit your needs. You could even use a Sizzix machine for the circles if you wish. You could also change the duck for another shape if you have another baby shower theme. Customize the colors as well as the shape to match and baby shower that you are hosting.
How to Make Cake Toppers
Put the duck on a circle and secure with any adhesive. Then add a toothpick to the back. If you want them to be finished from the back as well, be sure to add another circle to the back to cover up the toothpick. You can then add these to cupcakes or just about any dessert for a special touch at your birthday party.
How to Make Baby Shower Banner
For the banner, you can print the letters for free by clicking here. Just download the “B”, “A”, “Y”, and also the blank version. Then print onto some cardstock using your printer. You can print and cut by hand with scissors or even use the print then cut function on your Cricut machine.
Finish off your banner by adding additional circles, ducks, as well as white scalloped circles. I made these with my Cricut, you can use Cricut Design Space to create your cut file – I used #M50560EB5 for the duck and then used both a circle and a scalloped circle. These are perfect to finish off the blank version of the banner. Everything can be added to twine using the same adhesive tape runner from Adtech. Again, resize the cut file to fit your banner after you print it. You can make this banner as large or as small as you would like.
Decorative Drinks for a Party
The circles and ducks can be added to paper straws for drinks. Just use adhesive to put the suck on the circle then add the circle to the straw. I like patterned paper straws for this project as they add a little something extra to the project. These also are readily available these days in a ton of colors and patterns. I get decorative straws for any event that I am hosting.
If you are serving water bottles, be sure to wrap those with white paper and add the ducks as well. Just trim the paper to the size of the water bottle label. Add a duck to the front and wrap around your bottle. This is a fun way to spruce up something plain for your party.
These duck baby shower ideas are all really simple to put together and will make your party extra special. I used gender-neutral colors for my example but you can throw in pink or blue if you desire. You can even change the shapes if you don’t love the duck theme. I personally love the idea of a rubber ducky baby shower!
