I am overflowing with bridal shower ideas since hosting a shower for my daughter last weekend. I thought I would share a few pictures of our shower here in hopes that it inspires you! You can use a few of our rustic bridal shower ideas when hosting your own party. We love burlap and mason jars but you can definitely steal a few of the ideas and spin them where they are a bit less rustic.

Unique and Fun Bridal Shower Game Ideas
First of all, we need to talk about bridal shower games. I really do not like traditional games. So I came up with a few ideas that are a bit non-traditional but were really fun! First of all we used the Fuji Instax Mini to take pictures of the guests during the shower. If you are not familiar, this is basically the modern day Polaroid camera. The pictures come out the top of the camera and they have this great vintage vibe to them. They were so much fun! We put the pictures in a Instax album along with small cards where we wrote messages for the bride and groom. Basically they left with a great album of memories from the shower and we all had fun with a great camera! I set the display for the activity on the end of one of the tables along with a metallic marquee letter.
The other activity was my bridal shower recipe card idea. Basically the guests were sent recipe cards with their invitations to add their favorite recipes. I used my mason jar chalkboard as a sign in this area.
We collected the recipes in a recipe box so by the end of the shower the newlyweds walked away with a hand written collection of recipes from family and friends.
You can print those free recipe cards here or read more about our red mason jar centerpieces here.
The Best Bridal Shower Food + Snack Ideas
We of course ate as well! Who could forget the food? I served up both sweet and fruit tea out of mason jar drink dispensers. A great idea is to put your dispensers on top of a wood crate as shown below. It makes it super easy for everyone to serve themselves and is very inexpensive. You can also find similar mason jar chalkboard tags on online (or make your own).
I served up a simple menu of appetizers but I had to include my avocado taco dip!
I bought the cupcakes at a local bakery and they were definitely a huge hit!
Bridal Shower Decor Ideas: The Gift Table
What would a post of bridal shower ideas be without a present table? We continued the black, red, and white theme over to this area of the room.
You can also check out how I made this lantern card holder by visiting Old Time Pottery. Trust me it is a great idea!
I hope you enjoyed these simple bridal shower ideas! Try some of them for any party that you are hosting! Your guests will love the simple rustic elegance!
That looks like a bridal shower I would enjoy! I just can’t do “regular” shower games. I love your ideas and it looks like it was a lot of fun, especially the cameras with instant photographs!!
I love the recipe card idea. Such a wonderful way to pass down family recipes. I’m going to a Bridal shower later this month & I’m going to ask about doing this.
I absolutely love the recipe card idea! That is so smart and a totally useful keepsake! Thank you so much for sharing with us at Merry Monday this week!
