Chocolate pecan pie is one of my favorites! This delectable recipe is a perfect combination of chocolate and nuts. If you love pecan pie as well as chocolate, this one is definitely for you! And who says pie is just for Thanksgiving? Not me! I say make this chocolate chip pecan pie anytime of the year!
Chocolate Pecan Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 2 eggs (slightly beaten)
- 1/2 cup melted margarine or butter
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
- 6 oz. package of chocolate chips (I love the milk chocolate version but any will work!)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 unbaked pie crust (I personally love the refrigerated ones the best!)
Instructions:
- Start by preheating your oven to 325 degrees F. Add your unbaked pie crust to a pie pan.
- To begin, combine the sugar and flower in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the melted margarine or butter to the mix and blend well.
- Then stir in the slightly beaten eggs and the vanilla.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and also the pecans.
- Pour the entire mixture into your unbaked pie crust.
- Then bake for 50 minutes or until LIGHTLY golden.
- Remove from oven, allow to cool, then serve and enjoy!
