Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups baking mix
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chopped country ham
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped green onion
Instructions
- Heat oven to 450 degrees. Mix all ingredients until a soft dough forms. Turn onto surface sprinkled with additional baking mix. Fold and pat about 5 times. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 7 - 9 biscuits.

Can you pre make and heat the next day? If so how?
Yep. Just warm in the microwave for about 20 seconds or so.
Question–do you have to soak the ham first? Because the Country Ham I’ve had is salt-cured and it needs to be soaked in water (changed about every 2 hours) or Coca-Cola to get the salt out of it.
I soak it before cooking the entire ham then use leftovers for this recipe.
