How To Make DIY Turkey Napkin Rings
As I mentioned before, these DIY turkey napkin rings would be the perfect project for the kids! They can easily customize their napkin rings in a variety of ways and have fun designing their turkey. Plus, this project is a great way for them to get involved with decorating the table!
SAFETY NOTE: If you make this project with kids, adult supervision is required. You will be using a hot glue gun and small items, likely Google Eyes. An adult should do all the hot gluing in this project!
Supplies Needed To Make DIY Turkey Napkin Rings
- Bottle caps (recycle or buy some at your local craft store)
- Paper towel roll
- Washi tape (in Fall colors
- Googly eyes
- Red Sharpie marker
- Hot glue and a glue gun
- Scissors
Step 1: Cut Paper Towel Roll
Cut your paper towel roll to the appropriate length for a napkin ring.
Step 2: Add Washi Tape To Paper Towel Roll
Add washi tape in three strips to the paper towel roll, making sure to overlap your ends in the same area.
Step 3: Create Feathers From Washi Tape
Fold the washi tape over on itself for the feathers, then cut it into a feather shape.
Step 4: Glue Feathers To Bottle Cap
Glue the feathers on the back of the bottle cap.
Step 5: Glue Facial Features To Bottle Cap
Glue the eyes and a beak from folded over washi tape to the front of the bottle cap.
Step 6: Draw Waddle
Draw a waddle with a red Sharpie.
Step 7: Glue Bottle Cap To Napkin Ring
Glue your bottle cap turkey to the napkin ring and use it to cover up the seams in the washi tape.
Step 8: Add Napkin To DIY Turkey Napkin Rings
Add your napkin and place it on the table!
