It is time for day 2 of Craft Lightning and my DIY love pallet art. This is great for Valentine’s Day but will also work in your decor all year if you wish. I love items that I don’t have to hide but work great for seasonal decor. All this week we are posting quick Valentine’s Day crafts that take 15 minutes or less to complete. You can see the crafts from day 1 by clicking here. Scroll to the bottom of this post to see the ideas from day 2.
Supplies needed to make your own DIY love pallet art:
Some links below may be affiliate links which means that you do not pay anymore.
- Heart pallet (buying this one already made makes this a quick craft!)
- Wood Finishing Cloths in Dark Mahogany
- White craft paint
- Pencil
- Paint brush
- Rag
- Protective gloves
- Ruler
Start by removing the twine hanger from the heart pallet. Then stain the pallet with the wood finishing cloths. Be sure to wear protective gloves. Then remove one cloth from the package and rub the pallet until all surfaces are covered. I love these staining cloths for quick and easy projects! Remove any excess stain with a rag and allow to dry completely before continuing.
Use a pencil and a ruler to roughly sketch out the word “love”. I free handed it but you could also print one from your computer to go by.
Use a paint brush and white craft paint to go over the pencil lines.
Fill in with additional paint until you are happy with the look. Allow to dry completely. Then add back in the jute twine for hanging.
You will love hanging this DIY love pallet art in your home. Add it to some Valentine’s decor or a wall that just needs a little something extra.
You will love this quick and easy project for your home decor!

Love your projects, all others also. Am not quite ready to be making Valentines just yet but want to have great ideas on hand when am ready. The wood heart with chicken wire is so cute with rosettes and letters clipped on with mini clothespins. Pom-poms are so happy looking on heart frame.
Loved idea of wood heart with love painted on, could hang for all year to remind ourselves to love and express it often.
You always have such wonderful ideas Angie.
Happy New Year
Thanks Jane!
