Get ready with these ideas for DIY Thanksgiving decorations! These ideas will make your table extra special and they are all easy to do. I love a really simple tablescape that lets me decorate my table in minutes and get to more important things. You know….like cooking that big Thanksgiving meal for my family!
I love a simple table with some rustic touches. Those small ideas that give my Thanksgiving table some farmhouse flair.
How to Create a DIY Thanksgiving Tablescape
I started this table with burlap! Yep! Just a roll of wide burlap purchased from Amazon and cut to length. The edges are already finished so you just need to sew the ends to prevent any fraying. The easiest tablecloth ever and it looks amazing.
I then layered on a plaid table runner. This is actually two place mats placed end to end. The centerpiece covers up the seam. I found the look I wanted in the place mat section instead of the table runner section so I went with it.
The Perfect Thanksgiving Tablescape Centerpiece
What kind of DIY Thanksgiving decorations would be complete without a centerpiece? I, of course, just had to use a mason jar. It looks gorgeous filled with tall fall foliage to give the entire thing some height.
I placed the jar down inside a fall wreath. This is a super simple way to make a Thanksgiving centerpiece in just minutes.
I love wheat in the fall! It is my favorite thing to decorate with. So, I just had to lay a couple of wheat bundles on the table to complete the look. It should be noted that we do buffet style at Thanksgiving so I can fill the table up with as many DIY Thanksgiving decorations as my heart desires.
DIY Thanksgiving Placesettings
I went with my blue plates as a touch of the unexpected. Each place setting has a napkin tied simply with a piece of ribbon. Don’t love that idea? Try one of our other Thanksgiving napkin ring ideas.
The place cards are actually small plastic pumpkins with the names written on them in paint pen. A quick and easy solution that looks too cute! You can also try these other Thanksgiving place card ideas.
Our Thanksgiving table is set and ready for guests! Okay, I will in fact take this down and put it up closer to the actual date. However, this could be used for a fall dinner party as well. What will you use these ideas for DIY Thanksgiving decorations to create in your home?
Gorgeous! Love these ideas SO much!
