You can use either the Cricut Explore or the Cricut Maker for this project but I think the Maker does a much better job with felt.
How to Do this Easy DIY Gift Wrap Tutorial
This project is really simple and adds a personal touch to any gifts, Using your Cricut machine makes cutting the felt a breeze!
I cut this project into a snowflake, but you could use any shape/design you want!
Supplies Needed:
- Cricut Cutting Machine – Want to see the difference between the machines? I recommend using the Cricut Maker for cutting felt for this project.
- Cricut felt
- Cricut mat (I recommend the pink mat for felt)
- Baker’s twine
Easy DIY Gift Wrap Instructions
Step 1
Start by pulling up a cut file in Cricut Design Space.
Tip: If you are new to Cricut, click here to get my free guide for Cricut Design Space.
Step 2
First, cut your felt using your Cricut into the shapes of your choice. I made mine roughly a square.
Step 3
You will also want to weed away all of the excess from your iron-on.
Remove the outer pieces as well as any internal pieces that are not a part of the design. Weeding tools help with this but are not required.
Step 4
Add your felt shapes to the top of your package or gift and tie with some baker’s twine and give to your recipient!
Yep it is that easy! You can make so many different shapes to add great embellishments for all your gifts!
