Add your own essential oil air freshener to any room with this quick and easy DIY idea. It is mason jar week around here so of course we added our version to a cute jar. This decorative mason jar air freshener will really look great in your room and release a sweet scent of your choice. Supplies needed to make essential oil air freshener in a jar:
- Essential oil scent of your choice
- Small 4 oz mason jar
- Baking soda
- Cupcake liner
- Skewer or other pointy object
How to Make a Mason Jar Air Freshener:
- Add ¼ cup of baking soda to a small jar with 5 – 10 drops of your favorite essential oil. Mix this well.
- Put a cupcake liner on top of the jar in between the jar and band for the lid.
- Screw the lid down tightly.
- Use a skewer or other pointy object to poke holes in the cupcake liner.
Then just add this one to any room where you need an air freshener. The baking soda will help to absorb odors while the essential oil will add a sweet scent to the room. Shake the container a bit if you need an extra burst of fragrance.

These Are CUTE But WHY can’t You JUST leave The Lid OFF? The Cupcake Liner IS Probably Taking ALL the Scent ? I Saw The Comment Someone SAID it ONLY smells FOR a DAY. Just Wondering IF this Would Help. They Sell WIRE Grid Lids At Hobby Lobby. I THINK You Use Them To Put In Jars To Divide flowers. I Only Know This Bc Someone Gave Me Some Potpourri in A jar With THAT kind of lid. BUT it was a mini jar😊G-d♥️Bless

I have breathing issues to perfumes, strong air fresheners, cleaning supplies and such. This sounds great and I will give it a try. I would guess can be used in sick rooms ect. by adding certain oils. Many possibilities here thank you
