Supplies to make a farmhouse pillow:
The links below may be affiliate links which means that you do not pay anymore.
- White canvas fabric
- Printable transfer paper (look for a brand that works with your printer) (I used this version from Nufun)
- Cow printable (click here to download)
- Iron
- Scissors
- Printer and ink
- Pillow form (look for those intended for outdoor use if needed)
- Parchment paper
Start by downloading our cow silhouette and printing it onto your transfer paper. These types of transfers are most often used with shirts but why not pillows as well?
Follow all of the directions that come with your brand of transfers. On my version, I needed to cut around the cow with scissors.
I then ironed my white canvas fabric and laid the cutout into place. This is the front of your farmhouse pillow.
I then laid parchment paper over the top.
I ironed according to the package directions and removed the parchment paper.
You then just need to sew up your pillow cover. I like this method of sewing a pillow but you can use any that you like.
Add in your pillow form once complete and add to any room of your home. My farmhouse pillow ended up outdoors in this yellow rocking chair under my burlap farm wall hanging. I will share the rest of my porch soon so y’all stay tuned! For now, I will be outdoors enjoying this cute cow pillow. I love how this one turned out!
