Farmhouse Table: A New Addition

I am so excited to share my farmhouse table with y’all today. I have wanted a new table for a long time but never could make a decision. I finally fell in love with the options from the Better Homes and Gardens Collection at Walmart. I chose this gorgeous farmhouse table that works perfectly in my home. If you don’t remember, I shared my kitchen last year. At the time it looked like the image below. I desperately wanted a new kitchen table that was darker. I actually worked with the table shown for a while. The refinishing of those chairs was something else y’all. It took me MONTHS and I had four complete. Not exactly a quick and easy project.

Farmhouse Table

I then found the Maddox Crossing Dining Table with Leaf on Walmart’s website. I really loved the cross detail that is on the chairs as well as the table legs. Once they released the version that has the ability to add a leaf, I was sold! We can now have it seating six for everyday use but extend to fit eight during holiday meals. PERFECT!

You can see a bit of the “X” legs in the image above and below. I just love it! I went with six chairs but they also make a Dining Bench that may work for some of you. My family likes having chairs with backs so that option just did not work for us. It would have been adorable however and really added to that farmhouse feel!

I ordered both the table and chairs online. They were really easy to assemble which I was happy about! They are also really great quality! The table is HEAVY! I was thrilled with a farmhouse table for $275 that was gorgeous and sturdy! The Maddox Crossing Dining Chairs are only $40 each so they are a great deal as well.

Adding Decor to the Table

I also fitted the table with a few decor pieces from the Better Homes and Gardens Collection at Walmart. 

The Better Homes and Gardens Cakestand works great as a centerpiece. I used three stacked on top of one another with an assortment of citrus fruit and a basil plant. A simple, cute, and edible arrangement!

The table runner is actually a couple of Better Homes and Gardens place mats laid end to end. I found them in stock at my local store.

If you need me, I will be lovingly staring at my new farmhouse table. It is the perfect addition to our space and I am thrilled to see my vision for the kitchen come together.

Over the next year or so I hope to have some more major changes completed in this space so y’all be sure to stay tuned. Changes usually happen over the long term around here! For now, we will just enjoy this farmhouse table in our space and for many more family dinners to come!
