- 14″ Embroidery Hoop
- Dark Stain
- White Craft Paint
- Scissors
- Floral Wire
- Succulent Picks (about 10)
- Paint Brushes
- Jewelry Pliers
Making the farmhouse window:
Start by making the window itself. You will need to stain the window frame with a dark stain. Paint on with a paint brush, allow to sit a few minutes, then wipe away any excess with a rag. Set the entire thing aside to dry completely.
Once dry, you will want to add a rustic, farmhouse feel to this piece. Use a little white craft paint and get very little on your paint brush. Move the brush rapidly across the surface. This will leave you with a white washed rustic look. Repeat over the entire window and set aside to dry.
Making the wreath:
Use the inner ring of the embroidery hoop for your wreath base. You can discard the outer ring or save it for another project.
Bend the succulent picks to the shape of the wreath and cut pieces of floral wire to hold into place. You can use jewelry pliers to fasten the wire tight if needed.
Continue with this same method all the way around the wreath.
Use some additional floral wire to fasten the wreath to the farmhouse window and you have a display perfect for your door or mantel.
You will love the rustic feel of this piece and how it looks in your home.
