These Father’s Day fishing gifts are so easy to make and I have some free printable labels for you to add to them as well. This makes a super inexpensive gift that dad is sure to love. If he loves fishing, you will want to make one or more of these. I love a gift idea that can be made in minutes and that the kids can help with as well. As long as they don’t eat all of the candy before giving it to dad that is! So, get your supplies and get ready for Father’s Day.
Father’s Day Fishing Gifts
I added gummy worms and Swedish fish to my gift containers but you can choose any fishing-themed candy that dad loves. I also opted for small divided boxes but they sell larger “tackle” boxes in the fishing section of any store that will work for this as well.
Supplies needed:
- Small divided boxes (I don’t see the ones I used for sale any longer but you can find something similar here.)
- Fishing-themed candy
- Printable vinyl (or plain paper and tape)
- Scissors or paper cutter
- Printable label from below

How to Make a Tackle Box Gift for Dad
Now that you have your supplies and your label, it is time to whip up this cute gift idea in just minutes. Start by filling your boxes with a variety of fish themed candy.
I am using Swedish Fish and gummy worms but you can also pick other candies that dad loves. Just fill in each segment of the boxes you are using with candy.
You will then need to print your labels. You can print these on plain paper or even printable vinyl. If you have a Cricut machine, you could even use print then cut to make the labels.
I just used plain paper and cut the labels with a paper cutter. Then I used a double-sided adhesive for the back.
Stick the label to the front of the box and this easy Father’s Day gift is ready to give!
Father’s Day fishing gifts are something that dad will love. You can pair this cute box with a new fishing rod and I know he will be the happiest guy on the block.
He will be especially happy when he dives into some of those delicious gummy worms and fish! So, grab a large or small divided box and make dad something that will make him smile. This gift idea is also great for grandpas. So, be sure to pick up enough supplies to make a few.
Let the kids help you make these cute gifts as long as you can keep them from eating all of the candy. You might just pick up extra candy for just that purpose. So, will you be making some Father’s Day fishing gifts this year?
