Supplies needed:
- Pint Jars
- Black Card Stock
- Glue Tape or Mod Podge
- Imitation Gold Leaf
- Metallic Spray, Gold
- Metallic Gold Tinsel Cord
- Gold button
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Chalkboard vinyl or labels
- Gold paint pen
- Small Mini Glass Bottle Jars with Cork Stoppers
- M&Ms or other candy
- Craft knife
- Scissors, paper cutter or any Cricut machine
- Paint brush

Instructions to make a Graduation Money Gift in a Jar:
Step 1: Make the graduation hat
- Using scissors, a paper cutter, or Cricut, cut black card stock to 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.
- Cover the card stock with the adhesive tape runner or lightly coat with Mod Podge.
- Gently apply gold leaf. Repeat on the other side. Use a dry paint brush for lightly brush the excess gold leaf away.
- Using the spray paint, paint the band of the jar lid with gold paint if it is not already gold.
- Use tape runner to adhere card stock to band.
Step 2: Make the tassel
- Take a craft knife and cut a small “X” in the center of the card stock.
- Make a tassel using the gold tinsel cord and tie it onto the button.
- Then use hot glue to attach the button in the “X” you cut earlier.
Step 3: Make the label
- Using the metallic paint pen, write your word or message on the chalkboard label and adhere it to the front of the jar.
- Another option is to use your Cricut to cut out a label using chalkboard vinyl.
Step 4: Add the candy and money
- Add in candy and the small jar with money.
- Top with your lid.
