How to Make This Graduation Jar
Now that you have all of your supplies, it is time to make a cute owl mason jar. Then you can add in your gift and show the graduate you care!
Step 1: Create the Graduation Cap Mason Jar Lid
Spray paint the jar white and the lid black. Set aside to dry completely. Carefully take the hat apart as shown below.
Use hot glue on the inside to secure the tassel into place.
Once the lid is dry, use hot glue to place it onto the hat as shown below.
Step 2: Cut Felt Pieces and Assemble Your Owl
Print the owl pattern page by signing up for the newsletter above and cut the pieces from felt. Start adding the pieces to the mason jar with hot glue. The body pieces should meet in the front of the jar as shown below. They may overlap slightly in the back depending on the jar that you use.
Add the beak with hot glue as shown.
Secure the google eyes to the bottle caps with hot glue then add them to your mason jar as shown.
You will then need to make your graduation sign for the owl. Download the printable label file above and print it onto your labels. Use two labels back to back on the end of a short dowel rod.
Then hot glue the wings into place with the graduation sign under one of the wings as shown.
Secure well with hot glue.
Fill the jar with your gift, screw on the lid, and this graduation mason jar gift is ready to give to the graduate.
This fun idea is perfect for all ages from elementary to college graduations. Make one for everyone that is graduating in your life.

That is super cute! My son is graduating this year so I might have to make one of these for a table decoration at his grad party. Thanks so much for sharing it at the Friday Favorites Party this week! Pinned.
Aw, this is such a fun idea. I love it! I think putting gummy worms inside could be cute too, since owls or birds (I don’t know if owls do or not haha) eat worms, plus, it could be a “book worm” type of thing too.
