I did it!! I made my own pouf — aka ottoman! Now you can make your own pouf too! The Nester blogged about em a while back and made me think “hey I could make that”. Then my better homes and gardens magazine came…oh yes…a pouf with INSTRUCTIONS on how to make your own!!
~Thanks for stopping by!~

I love the patchwork feel. All the graphics and colors make it very unique. Of course you said yes to your son. He looks great with it.
That turned out amazing! Way to go! How sweet of you to let your son have it. He looks so happy on it.
Oh, Angie! I just LOVE this!!! Bookmarking it…I’m definitely making one when the kids go back to school…;)
SO great, I was just thinking I wanted to make a pouf for our living room. How long did it take to make?
This is such a great idea! I love that you repurposed the coffee bags to make these. Sharon
omg that looks great! nicely done!
Looks great Angie!
This is so cool–I definitely want to make one of these now–thanks for the inspiration! If you have time I would love it if you came by and shared this at my linky party this week.
Cool Pouf! Love the coffee bags!
I have several similar “pods” in my house for the kids to sit on when we have company. Mine aren’t made of feedsacks, but I love that! I may have to go back and make a few more. Thanks for the tips. Lisa~
very very cute!!
OM–this is fantastic, I love it! So high end looking, could totally see it in PB! Thanks for sharing!
Love this! My kids would love to have one of these for their rooms. Definitely going to have to give it a try. Thanks!
That looks great! I love how you used coffee sacks…such a nice twist!
So cute! Now this is my kinda pouf. 🙂
Donna
wow! awesome idea!
Your pouf turned out great! Thanks for the link to the BHG tutorial. Just curious, where do you get your coffee sacks from? Does your local coffee shop give them away?
This is super cute but it looks so scratchy to sit on. Is it comfy?
To answer some of the questions so far:
1) It took me probably 4-5 hours to make. That is including kiddos interrupting, etc.
2) I got my coffee sacks off of craigslist. It was actually quite an adventure! 🙂 We bought quite a few and I have used them on various projects.
3) Actually it is not scratchy at all. We have used it daily since I made it. Everyone really likes it. I don’t know if the coffee sacks themselves are not as scratchy as regular burlap…but it is perfect…really! 🙂
Super cute, Angie! Great job!
