Mounted Deer Head Ornament

To make this mounted deer head ornament you will need:

•  Americana Decoar Chalky Finish Paint in Everlasting
• Wood deer head ornament (grab from Michaels stores)
• Wood slice ornament (grab from Michaels stores)
• Floral wire
• Floral tape
• Gold tinsel ribbon

Start by painting your deer head with a couple of coats of the Americana Chalky Paint in Everlasting. Seriously after two coats it looked amazing. Be sure to remove the string and tag from the deer head before painting. Now lets turn him into an ornament.

Start by using hot glue to mount the head to the wood slice. Once that has dried, add some strong floral wire in a circle around the neck. Cut to size and secure with a bit of floral tape.

Start wrapping and wrapping that tinsel ribbon. I went around my wreath about three times with this gorgeous gold tinsel.

You are ready to hand this one on your tree using the string that is already through the wood slice.

I think he looks a bit regal and glamorous with a gold wreath around his neck! Be sure to pick up these great supplies from Michaels before they are gone!
