What’s In Homemade Lemonade
The exact ingredient amounts and steps are all in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post. First, I’m going to share what you need from the store and some tips.
- Lemons
- White sugar (or granular sugar substitute)
- Hot water
- Cold water
- Ice
Note: The entire tutorial is in the printable craft card at the end of this post.
How To Make Sugar-Free Homemade Lemonade
If you want to make low-carb or sugar-free lemonade, just substitute granular sugar substitute or liquid sugar substitute drops. It will still have the same sweet and sour tastes as your favorite homemade lemonade.
Single Serving Lemonade Tips
Before you begin, you should juice both lemons into a large glass or mason jar. Remove any seeds that fall out with the juice. Believe me, using fresh lemons has a lot more flavor than using jarred lemon juice.
Then, add hot water and sugar to the glass and mix really well. You want the sugar to be completely dissolved. This is why you need the water to be really hot – it helps the sugar dissolve more effectively.
Add cold water and ice to fill your glass to the top. Add a few additional lemon slices if desired.
Enjoy your cold glass of old fashioned homemade lemonade while sitting on the porch. You know that is the only way to drink lemonade right?
This single-serving recipe really hits the spot on a hot day. You only need to have two lemons to make this drink which I love. Sometimes you don’t have a whole bag of lemons to make a huge pitcher and you really just need a glass of freshly squeezed lemonade.
