Ready to see what it looked like before I painted it? Oh yea that floral beauty below. This really goes to show you that you should always look at the shape of things while you are thrifting and ignore the color/pattern.
I gave this stool a few coats of Krylon Dual (paint and primer in one). Spray a few light coats on your items instead of heavy coats that tend to drip. Luckily our 15 minute craft week does not include dry time. But in less than 15 minutes of hands on time and for under $20, I had a stool that looks like it stepped right out of the Ballard catalog. You have to love that. This one is currently outside on the deck as a place to rest my drink while I am relaxing. It is perfect!
Love it, I painted one a couple of years ago too. YOurs turned out great. Hugs, marty
The power of spray paint is awesome!
I found 3 these at dollar tree few years back, they blue but paint chipping so I’m going totry paint if weather clears up,,bad year huh ! but have sitting in kitchen need x chair this it,Thank’s for showing this..
Great find, I certainly want to find some at that price. I have had an Asian blue/white one forever and it cost a fortune. Plus, I bought one recently that was also a ridiculous price. I have been looking at a lot of the discount websites and they are all very expensive even on clearance.
I liked it better before you painted it. What’s with everything white? It shows a lack of imagination (anyone can make a white room). Much harder to use the colors in the original stool and create a room that looks vibrant. I’m all for changing things, but in this case …boring!
Because all white is a huge trend and very popular in home decor and design these days. The tutorial is to show you how you can take something useful, in this case a garden seat, that you do not like the color of and change it to a color that you like. It’s not the type of tutorial that you have to use the same colors as the tutorial writer did. Follow the tutorial in the colors that you like and leave the negativity behind.
I love it white.I’m going to paint one .Yours looks great.Sorry but it was so ugly and dated before.Great job.
