This month Jen with 100 Directions is back again sharing a fun patriotic drink idea that you will want to try this summer. This is great for your Fourth of July parties and more!
Looking for a fun Patriotic Drink you can make for your July 4th celebrations? Try this Strawberry and Blueberry Sprite. You can make a non-alcoholic version with just the fruit or add in bit of vodka for a sweet summer cocktail. This summer drink is made with fresh fruit so you get that yummy fruit flavor infused into the Sprite. I like to make a simple syrup with the strawberries so there is a hint of strawberry flavor in every sip!

Ingredients you’ll need to make your own patriotic drink:
- 2 cups Fresh Strawberries
- 1 cup Fresh blueberries
- Sprite
- 1/2 cup sugar
Instructions
Make strawberries and simple syrup
Cut strawberries into bit-sized pieces. Combine in bowl with sugar, stirring gently. Set aside in the refrigerator overnight to allow the sugar and strawberries to create a syrup.
Drink prep
- Pour sprite into mason jar. Fill 3/4 of the jar with sprite.
- Spoon in some of the strawberry and syrup mixture. Stir gently. Top with a spoonful of blueberries.
- Optionally, add a shot of vodka to create a refreshing summer cocktail for your festivities.
- Add a cute patriotic straw and serve.
I’ve designed some patriotic printables you can download for free and use to decorate your straws. Download the printable party decor here (You can cut it with your Cricut too!). Cut out the stars and glue them on to paper straws to create fun patriotic straws for all your holiday beverages!

Notes
I don’t like adding ice to my drinks, but you can add ice to each glass just before you serve it, if you’d like. Just make sure to leave a little extra room when pouring in the Sprite to allow for the ice.
Try making a blueberry syrup and you can make blueberry flavored sprite too! This is a great drink combination for all summer long, but the red and blue colors make it a perfect patriotic drink for July 4th BBQs.
