Add a touch of unique spookiness to your Halloween decor with vintage sheet music. In this blog post, we’ll explore a simple and fun way to merge the worlds of music and Halloween using just a printer and your favorite sheet music.
Now y’all know by now that I love sheet music. Why oh why have I not thought of printing on it before?? Well the day has come…
I wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary for Halloween and create a spooky arrangement that added to my existing farmhouse style.
You can do a lot with sheet music! Create a garland, design a vintage-style Christmas tree, a sheet music snowflake banner…the list goes on! I love the vintage look it adds to anything you are creating. It’s like instant charm.
How to Print on Sheet Music
Supplies needed to print on sheet music
- Ink
- Printer
- Spooky design – I used a spider
- Vintage sheet music
- Clear glass jug
I took a vintage hymnal page and printed on an image from The Graphics Fairy. But, bonus points if you choose a piece of sheet music that suits the Halloween theme. Classic spooky tunes like “Thriller” or “The Addams Family Theme” work well, but you can get creative and choose any piece that resonates with the Halloween spirit.
Something about sheet music screams out for something spooky, so I found this spooky spider clip art and downloaded it with a transparent background. It totally fit the bill!
Then, I pasted the spider image on to the sheet music image and printed! It turned out perfectly. You could also print the sheet music pattern first, then reprint your spooky image onto the sheet music print out, whichever is easiest for you and your set up.
I had this empty jug already on this table. Roll up the sheet music and insert it in the top. It unrolled when it got in there. Gorgeous!
Printing spider design sheet music is a simple and fun way to combine music with the spookiness of Halloween. With just ink, a printer, and your favorite sheet music, you can create a unique and haunting piece that adds a touch of musical magic to your Halloween celebrations. So, dust off those cobwebs, fire up the printer, and let the spooky serenades begin!

That spider is super spooky! Love it! I splurged and bought some old sheet music on Ebay for crafting (a splurge because of the shipping cost) and now I have no idea what I want to do with it. This is a great idea.
Love it! Great thinking – am definitely going to try this. I stamped some sheet music I did on some candles but I like this approach much better! =)
