Instructions for Making the Gift in a Jar
Add the cake mix to the bottom of the jar. Press down well. Clean off the sides of the jar. Then add in Reese’s pieces until the jar is filled all the way to the top. Yes, that is it! This is literally a two-ingredient cookie mix in a jar. So simple and so inexpensive!
Decorate Your Mason Jar Cookies with These Fall Printables!
We do want to decorate that jar however and add the recipe for making the cookies. You can follow the instructions above for getting the free printable. Then print the file onto white cardstock if you have it. Regular copy paper will work but the leaves will not be quite as stiff.
Trace around your lid on the page as shown below.
Cut around the recipe topper as well as all of the leaves.
Use adhesive to put the leaves back to back. This will give your finished gift a more finished appearance.
Add the recipe to the top of the jar between the band and lid.
Tie your leaves onto the jar using raffia. You can even write your gift recipient’s name on one of the leaves if you desire.
Your Reese’s pieces cookies are ready to give! But how do you actually make the cookies? Those are super easy as well!
