It is time for details on the rustic wedding in a barn that we had a few weeks ago for my daughter. I tried to get as many detailed pictures as I could for y’all. I will link to the DIY project with step by step instructions for creating many of the elements in the wedding. It turned out to be a great day and everything was wonderful. Y’all enjoy these great barn wedding details.
Please note that some links may be affiliate links which means you will not pay anymore. I am going to start with the outside of the barn where the actual wedding was held. We did the reception on the inside where we had tables, etc set up. You can click here to see more about that DIY burlap aisle runner.
The actual “seats” for the ceremony were hay bales covered in white fabric.
The aisle was marked with old wooden tobacco sticks that had jars of baby’s breath hanging from them. The jars are actually from the Dollar Tree and I just wrapped each one in lace. You can find the lace I used by clicking here.
Each side of the aisle was marked with a chalkboard sign. I am in love with these little signs! You can click here to see the details on those.
They were the perfect way to mark the bride and groom side of the ceremony. We allowed everyone to seat themselves so needed some sort of markings.
I printed these seat reservation signs to mark the seats of the mother and father of both the bride and groom.
Each seat received one of my DIY wedding fans. It was an outdoor wedding in July in Tennessee. It was hot y’all!
I also set out buckets filled with bottled water so everyone could grab a drink during the ceremony.
The two barn doors worked perfectly with this arbor that we borrowed. I added a bit of white and burlap along with a few red flowers around the outside which was perfect for a rustic wedding.
The tables on the inside of the barn all had white tablecloths with burlap table runners and these mason jar centerpieces. I did however mark the bridal party tables with a red burlap table runner and these adorable chalkboard easels.
The table for the bride and groom had this burlap table runner as well as the burlap chair banners.
I made printable burlap letters for the other tables at the reception. Here I marked one with “drinks” and had a drink station set up.
We actually served cheesecake at the wedding. Yes in the summer in Tennessee!! I kept it frozen until it was pulled out to be served. It thawed perfectly in the heat and everyone loved it! I had stacked white cake stands for the cake and purchased this custom cake topper.
The wedding centerpieces along with some Christmas lights lit up the space perfectly.
You can see more about the guest book area by clicking here.
I also added two Fuji Instax cameras to the guest book area and let people snap pictures. By the end of the night they had clipped them all over the twine on the table cloth.
All in all it was a wonderful night with minimal issues…which was perfect! The happy couple was married and we all had a great time! Thanks for following along with our wedding adventures and I hope you enjoyed pictures from the rustic wedding.
