My first gallery wall y’all! Why do I call it my first? Cause it won’t be my last! I am absolutely in love! So for this gallery wall I made it all about my senior! This is “her wall” if you want to call it that…hubby walked in and said “is that the wall of terror?”…lol…husbands! 🙂
It all started with the framing of the senior picture I choose. This was my absolute fave. So I had it blown up BIG and framed it. Then I thought…why not gather a bunch of pics of her and make a gallery wall…
One thing that all you moms MUST do…yes an order!! I have two of these collage frames. One for the baby years and one for the school years. They are amazing when they are finished! Just look how much she changed!!
Back to the topic…I gathered baby pictures, school pictures, my collages, etc. Painted all the frames white with my beloved Krylon Dual paint. I then used kraft paper cut to the frame size to arrange my pictures on the wall.
In addition to my pictures, I wanted a monogram for her name. I took a small mirror and painted over it with Krylon Matte finish. Just clear matte finish. It makes the mirror all silver looking!! Then I added a chipboard letter to the center. Love the effect!
My daughter also writes quotes. Just various things on pieces of paper everywhere. So I told her to pick her fave. I then used the My Memories software program to make her quote into a little piece of art…
And here is the top part of my gallery wall. More pictures and my other collage over there on the left. Looove…
I love how this turned out so well that the other two kiddos are going to get a wall! Can’t wait to get started! Course their collage prints won’t be done yet but I can add those later.
The wall gives you in one glace a chance to see how much they have grown up! Might make you sniffle a little…I might be sniffling while writing this post…don’t judge…
I will be sure to post my other two babies’ walls when I get around to em! For now, leave me a comment if you have a senior in high school or can feel my pain…I need it…trust me!
I left home for college five years ago, and I can tell you, as much as she might pretend she’s grown up and independent … part of us never grows up! My mother has those collage frames for my sister and I, and as much as some of those photos are really embarrassing, I love that she has them up, ready to show everyone and anyone. Good luck to you and your daughter!
Very cute, Angie! I want to get one of those collage mats. We just got Zack’s Kinder pictures in last week. Here we go!
Yes I have a senior too and he is my last one- not my first. I have three boys and this is my baby which makes it even harder. I did the collage frames too and the boys always show them off to the friends that stop over- I think they love them as much as I do. I never thought of a baby collage though- great idea! And no, it doesn’t get easier with the 2nd or 3rd child.
beautiful! with 3 grown & 7 grands I’d have to have a gallery room! LOL
