I think young house love just added some of those dark out panels to her curtains in her daughters room I bet that would help with the cold room..we have a older house and I know all to well about drafts brrr
If you don’t want to spend the money on the thermal/ black out panels you can go for the cheap-o route of plastic. I know, I know, not exactly attractive but when choosing between my fuel bill and pretty, I tend to err on the practical (ugly) side, haha. If you are going to keep the curtains closed then no-one would be the wiser. And I love the sheet curtains!
Angie, these curtains are gorgeous! I love them and I’m pinning them!
They look great, Angie! And now that you have the windows completely covered with fabric, you could always do something else to make the room warmer. You could staple big towels or blankets over the windows to keep out the cold, and who would ever know? It would all be covered by your cute striped curtains! 🙂
I love those curtains!! Such a wonderful look on the cheap….Awesome Job!!
Traci
I just posted a striped curtain tutorial. But this is another great twist on the look. I love it!
