I just love sweet tea, this looks great!
I stopped by to see if you made yours differently than me but you don’t! So happy to find I’m not the only person that likes to make sweet green tea at home. I guess it’s a southern thing lol.
Anyways, wanted to add that sometimes I’m in the mood for mint green tea and I sub a few bags of regular green tea for hint mint green tea and make it the same way. Try it sometime!
Little confused.. when I add water to pan second time do I boil again for 2 min and steep again?
Love this recipe, THANKS!
I brew “ZEN” teabags by TAZO. So-o-o-o yummy! Green tea, spearmint, lemon verbena, lemongrass and I think peppermint. Refreshing on a warm day and good for us, right?
Have safe Memorial Day weekend and please remember our VETs.-Active and non-active.
I like the sound of this receipe but more importantly where did you get those glasses??
They are jars from Ball! You can find them here (affiliate): http://amzn.to/1V5Tsh9
I find that it works better if you pour the boiling water over the sugar so you don’t have to stir so much. Then just steep the bags in the sugar water for about 10 minutes and scoop them out with a spoon. Just be careful not to burn yourself! Then you finally add enough water and ice to fill your gallon pitcher.
Also! If you’re going to steep everything together and you won’t be anchoring your tea bags outside of the pitcher, don’t forget to cut off the paper tags from the bags! You don’t want paper bits in your tea!
