How To Make A Washi Tape Ornament
Supplies Needed To Make A Washy Tape Ornament
- Washi tape
- Wooden gift tags, and any shape you choose
- Craft knife
- Chipboard letter
- Jute twine
Instructions
First, start by covering your wooden gift tag completely in tape. Make sure your patterns lineup so you get the result you want.
After I covered one of the tags completely in tape, flipped it over and trimmed around it with my craft knife. Please place an old magazine under your project when cutting.
I then took a chipboard letter that I wanted to add to my project.
I did the same thing to it and covered it with Washi tape as well. I chose to use a different pattern of Washi tape for this portion, but you can use any color, pattern, or even paint the chipboard letter if you wish.
I trimmed out the monogram with my craft knife and stuck it to my tag. Added a jute hanger and in 5 minutes I had an ornament to be proud of! Quick, easy, and gorgeous! That is what washi tape will get ya!
I have been in love with washi tape for a while now. Here a few projects you can find right here on the CCC to make. First of all my washi tape napkin rings — there are still time to make these for your Thanksgiving Day celebration.
