Ever wondered where to buy fabric online. If you are like me and live in the country, the thought has probably crossed your mind. Don’t get me wrong, I love our rural farm life. But making that trek to the fabric store is not an easy feat y’all. So what is a girl to do? Buy that fabric right from the comfort of my own home and have it delivered to my door. It sounds like a winner to me!
Where to Buy Fabric Online
I have a few of my personal favorite sources below. You can choose one of these for your fabric needs and place an order today. Nothing is better than gorgeous fabric for your next project delivered straight to your door.
Fabric.com
This has been one of my favorite sources for years as I love their selection and quality. I bought some outdoor fabrics from there and had them on my porch for many years. I couldn’t believe that they didn’t fade and cleaned up beautifully. The selection is huge but it is divided up into types. So if you are looking for home decor fabrics, they will all be in one location. You can then use the menus on the side to narrow down your selections and find the perfect fabric for any project.
Joann.com
Your favorite craft store also has an online store and you can purchase your fabric without even leaving your home. Again the selection is divided up by fabric type so you can look at all of the fleece fabric with just one click. You can even order online then pick up in-store. No more waiting in line to get your fabric cut!
Etsy
Your favorite source for handmade goods can also be a great place to find fabric. My favorite is to stalk this site for vintage fabrics and even grain sacks. If you are looking to put a unique spin on any project, this is the place to shop for your fabric needs.
Spoonflower
Speaking of sources for unique fabrics, Spoonflower is full of fabrics that have been designed by individuals just like you. Support small businesses by purchasing from them on sites like these. The other great thing about this site? You can design your own fabric! Yes, that is right! Custom fabric from your design. Any design. Imagine getting fabric from your child’s drawings for a Mother’s Day gift. The possibilities are endless with this one.
Online Fabric Store
This is another source that I have personally used a few times. Huge selection and I have never had an issue with quality. I actually received many, many yards from them for some curtains I made and the fabric came on a huge roll which was great. Sometimes fabric arrives folded when you order it online and the creases can be a pain.
Amazon
Yes, your trustworthy source can also be a great place to buy fabric. In fact, I buy burlap in bulk from them all of the time. You can’t go wrong with Prime shipping and that Amazon name. I love purchasing things like burlap in bulk right on Amazon. Click here to shop!
Shop around as each of these sources is top-notch. Find a fabric you love online and comparison shop on each of the sites to see if you can get a better price. Once you have a fabric’s name, looking for it on various websites becomes super easy. You can do this! Now that you know where to buy fabric online, the only thing left is to do it. You might just be surprised at the results.
Know how you feel as we live in rural area. Can’t just hop in car and be there in short time. When I want to make something don’t want to have to get cleaned up, change clothes, isn’t just a 1/2 hr. to get fabric.
Hate to have to pay s&h but guess should think about what my time is worth and gas. By the time I get back am out of time or the mood to sew.
Will look into these sources, see cost compared to buying fabric at Hobby Lobby with 40% off coupon.
Thanks for providing sources, saves me time researching. Helps to know you he experience with them.
Hope you’re having great weekend
I always think it is at least an hour in travel time alone. Sometimes it is just not worth it! Keep your eyes open as some of those offer free shipping sometimes!
