What You Will Need
Ingredients for jar:
1quart32 ounce jar with lid
Printable label/gift tag
1cupdried kidney beans
1cupdried white beans
1cupdried black beans
1cupdried pinto beans
1cupdried split peas
1teaspoondried minced onion
1teaspoondried oregano
1teaspoongarlic powder
½teaspoonpaprika
½teaspoondry mustard
1bay leaf
⅓cupbeef granulesoptional for vegetarians
To make the soup, you will also need:
214.5 ounce cans diced tomatoes
3quartswater or beef stock
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Layer Ingredients in the Mason Jar
Layer the minced onion, oregano, garlic powder, paprika, and dry mustard to the bottom of a 32 ounce mason jar.
Then, add layers of the beans to create the look you desire.
After the beans have been added, place the bay leaf on top.
Add the lid to the jar and seal tightly.
Follow the instructions below to print the gift tags

Download the tag linked in the post above, then print on white card stock for added stability.
Cut around the tags with scissors.
Tape to the jar or punch a hole in the top and tie with ribbon or string around the lid.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with mixing the dried beans all together, alternating colors, or creating another color scheme. Tie ribbon around the mouth of the jar for extra decoration. If you are using a mason jar with a lid and ring, try adding some fabric for extra decoration.
